URL Popup Menu

Creating a popup menu which leads to several different URLs

Making a popup menu with choices of URL's to send your viewers to can be done in Cyberstudio/GoLive using the point and shoot method. There are two different ways to do this. One way is to use the URL Popup CyberObject [JavaScript]; the other is via the forms method.

First we will discuss the CyberObjects method. Making a popup this way will send the viewer to the new page once they have selected a URL or subject to go to. To start, open the Palette window. Then select the CyberObjects Tab. Now, drag the URL Popup CyberObject icon to the location on your page.

The Inspector Window will now change to the URL Popup Inspector. Clicking on the Basic Tab, select the label that you would like to change. Once selected the label and its URL will appear at the bottom of the Inspector Window. There, select the label that you want your viewers to see, [remember to hit the enter/return key if you type in a URL], then enter the URL for that label. You can type it in as I did in this demo or you can point and shoot to the URL, whether the URL is within your Site Folder or an External URL that you have under the External Tab on your site window.
